Suicide Girls is an amateur content and community site that revolves around alt, goth, tattoo, piercing style girls. For more than a decade the site has been doing its thing with all sorts of model photos and videos along with site features like boards, profiles, groups, chat, interviews, news, events, etc. Because it has been around so long and is such an established site there is a nice depth to the picture/video content sections and the community features are also active as well.
Suicide Girls has a lot of models, photos, and videos online. The site has been around for a long time so they've compiled quite an archive. The models are a fun mix of amateur types that relate in all sorts of ways to the alt, goth, tattoo, piercing, and/or punk style. There are models from all over the world with photos, videos, profiles, blogs, etc. Overall it's an impressive softcore alt themed collection.
Numerous community features are available for the models and members to utilize including profiles, groups, blogs, chat, message boards, feedback/comments, and more. The community tools really are as integral to Suicide Girls as the picture/video content database. This is one of those sites that gives you the chance to get into it in many ways beyond just looking at content.
These guys have been at it a long time and they have content going back years. The site home page has a nice summary of recently added items in terms of content and other community activity. The site is active and continues to have a lot of models and members that add new stuff across the various sections.
Update date-stamps are put on all the different types of content. That's really useful for the pics/vids but also things like blog posts, interviews, news announcements, and all the other stuff here.
The Flash streaming player does allow for immediate jumping ahead. It loads/buffers within just a second or two.
Site design is sharp and fitting with the Suicide Girls alt/goth style. There are some filter/search tools for browsing the photo, video, and model index sections.
The monthly price is pretty inexpensive. Suicide Girls actually has one of the lower monthly membership prices around.
The videos part of the site has a couple of notable weaknesses. First, they do not have any downloads and limit videos just to a small Flash streaming player. Secondly, the videos are a mixed bag in terms of style and length with many being really short clips at about one minute or less. Third, when browsing thru the model index I found so many of the models do not have any video content.
This is an amateur submitted content site so you do get ups-and-downs on the photo content. Sizes I ran into include: 1200x800, 1000x665, 800x533, 600x385. There are other sizes but those give you a good idea of the range. While they do have a Flash viewer for the galleries there aren't any zip file for downloading the sets so downloadablity is a weakness just like on the videos.
Model activity varies. You'll run into many girls that haven't posted any content in a long time or had any activity at all through their profile.
There are some member's area upsells and ads.
This is one of those sites that is different from other paysites where it's all about the photos and videos. To be sure Suicide Girls has a ton of models and content however the community profiles, groups, boards, etc. are as vital to the site as the pics and vids. Users that are into alt/punk type models and looking for an active community related to that should find a lot to like. It's not for everyone but they've been around a long time and have done a nice job carving out their specialty niche/fetish.
