Dainews.nu is a picture website that features photos of female celebrities and fashion models.
Dainews is a huge celebrity site offering one of the most complete celebrity photo archives online. The site has been online since 1998 and they've used that time to assemble an awesome set of naughty celeb on-screen moments, sexy magazine spreads, and inadvertent panty peeks, all for $10 a month.
DAINEWS is a massive site, with over 667,000 pictures currently online. They've got all the major celebrities you might hope to find here, including newer hotties like Blake Lively and Amanda Seyfried and longtime favorites like Jennifer Aniston and Jessica Simpson. This is a very large, very complete collection.
This week alone saw 772 images added to the site. They seem to average around 100 new photos per day, keeping the huge site growing at a great pace!
Thankfully, this huge collection has a solid framework behind it. You can browse the celebs by first and last name alphabetically, use the keyword search, and even filter the updates page by nude and non-nude. You can also set your display preferences for how you want quality to be displayed, minimum quality settings for pictures, and also minimum nudity settings. I was surprised by just how many options they offer members for viewing the pages.
Membership is very affordable, at just $10 a month. There are also inexpensive trial options that don't recur, as well.
There are some really high quality pictures! Though quality varies (as discussed below), I did think that there were more large, high resolution photos here than you typically find on a celeb site.
There's an active forum for chatting with your fellow celeb lovers.
They provide only the most basic information about the celebrities...pretty much just their names. You do get a link to other sites that have info about them, like IMDB, but why not offer the information themselves? It would also be nice to know where the content came from. Was it a movie? Which one? What award show is she at? etc etc. Just a little more information would come in handy.
One of the goals of Dainews is to offer the highest quality celebrity content and they do a pretty good job. However, they are limited by the genre. They'rebasically stuck offering vidcaps, magazine scans, and paparazzi shots so quality can only be so good. There are a lot of vidcaps here and while they are large, 1920x1088 and even bigger, they are still subject to the same issues that vidcaps always have. It's decent quality for the genre, at least.
There are no video clips here; this is a photo-only site.
The design could definitely be improved. We first visited the site in 2005 and it looks exactly now as it did then. It's just green and white and red and yellow text on a black background. There are no graphics and even few thumbnails. It's almost entirely text and it really isn't much to look at.
These are all non-exclusive scenes that can be found on other sites. That is just the nature of these celebrity sites, but there's really not much here that couldn't be found elsewhere.
Even after all these years, Dainews continues to impress, thanks to its massive collection and consistent daily updates. The site is fairly user-friendly, also it does feel a bit basic at times, due to a lack of scene information and outdated design. I also worry that their choice to exclude video clips will become an issue, as photo-only sites are becoming increasingly rare. The low price makes up for it, though, so if you're looking for a very complete celebrity photo archive at a great low price, look no further than Dainews.
