Our Price:
$7.99
(Per Movie)Clips.com is a pay-per-view site offering up a huge collection of adult DVD scenes available for download. That's right, download. It seems most of the PPV sites we check out are streaming-only, so right off the bat I was intrigued. It looks as though the prices are a bit higher but on the plus side, you do get to actually download and save these hot scenes.
Clips.com has more than 141,000 movies currently available. They've got videos from hundreds of studios, including plenty of smaller studios. They feature thousands of pornstars covering just about every niche imaginable. No matter what niche you're into, odds are you'll find it fulfilled here.
New movies are added often. Though nothing is dated, it appears new scenes are added daily.
All of the scenes can be downloaded, a unique feature among PPV sites.
A good amount of info is provided for each scene, including the date added, resolution, file size, run time, descriptions, stars, and studios.
There are a few helpful browse tools, including a list of top rated scenes, detailed categories, and a studio provider list.
As is always the case on pay per view sites, things can get expensive fast. In this case, you're paying $7-$10 per scene. That's high even for a PPV site. Of course, the difference is that you actually get to download these scenes. Still, unless you're only coming with the intention of grabbing a few scenes, you're going to end up paying way more than necessary to download these scenes.
The video quality is all over the place, which is why I ultimately settled on average to describe the scenes. You can tell even skimming through the vidcaps for the scenes that some are more amateur while others are professional, some were filmed recently and others could be decades old. There are HD scenes at 1280 x 720 while others are 320 x 240! It's a mixed bag, for sure.
The design could be better. At best, it's too plain, at worst, it's cluttered and dated-looking.
These are all DVD scenes that can be found elsewhere. That's no big surprise for this genre, however members should keep in mind there's nothing original here.
Video formats varied. Each scene can be downloaded in one format. Sometimes the format is wmv, sometimes it's mpeg or AVI. There's no telling what any given scene might be.
An advanced search tool and model index are badly needed here. The collection is simply to large to skimp on features like these.
While I appreciated the downloadable videos and that they offered content from some smaller studios, overall Clips.com comes up short for me. The site isn't as user-friendly as it should be, the content quality was all over the place, and the price of downloading each scene is just too high. The large archive is certainly impressive, but ultimately I can't imagine paying this much money to access such average quality non-exclusive material.
