Brief Lads is a gay niche site with an original collection of content. As the title suggests the focus here is on guys in their briefs or boxer briefs in solo and guy/guy shoots. The other angle that comes into play is that this is a UK based site so the models are British guys. The samples on the guest tour are representative of the models and type of shoots found in the member's area.
Brief Lads has an all original collection of picture galleries and videos. There is about an equal number of pics and vids which is good to see. Breifs are a big part of the equation here in every shoot so that's not just a gimmicky title.
The majority of the action is solo guy stripping/masturbation but accompanying that is a pretty good number of guy/guy hardcore scenes. There are even a few with groupsex as well. As you might expect the videos tend to have more hardcore shoots than the pictures.
The content viewing and downloading options aren't fancy but they are straightforward and work fine for this collection. The videos have WMV files that can be downloaded or clicking on them will open the right away in a stand-alone media player. Galleries can be viewed online and most have zip files for downloading.
An Audition page has sample models where members can vote on which guy they should shoot.
Videos have file size and length-in-minutes details posted.
Galleries and videos are date-stamped with update information (although it's vague with just month/year).
$18 price is pretty decent. Plus there is a non-recurring option for a few bucks more.
After browsing the collection and noting that the lack of quantity is a key issue I checked on when the site went online. There is content dating back to May 2008 so while it's a young site it has been around long enough to build up a larger database.
There is room for improvement in the content quality and formatting areas. The specs on the videos and picture clarity are okay but nothing to write home about. An additional format or quality level for the videos really enhance things as well.
This goes hand-in-hand with the smallish amount of content. Generally speaking the pace is around 2 to 4 galleries and videos per month. A "Recent Updates" and "Coming Soon" list on the member's home page doesn't have specific dates or link to the content items.
Pictures section has the content listed with the oldest galleries first and the newest at the bottom.

These British models don't speak hardly at all so viewers don't get to experience their accents.
Brief Lads isn't a difficult site to sum up. The pluses and minuses are pretty straightforward. The exclusive content, mix of solo/hardcore action, and UK models are the site's best assets. The negatives are small amount of content, inconsistent updates, and basic site design. The video and picture options are okay with WMV files and zip files but there is room for higher resolution content (videos especially) and additional options. In the grand scheme of things this is still a relatively young site so it'll be interesting to see how the site grows and evolves when we get back for another review in the future.
