As is usually the case on DVD sites like this, the entire member's area is browseable for visitors so go ahead and take a peek around the site and see what you think without paying a dime.
This is a good-sized site with a large collection of movies. They break down exactly what they offer, and that includes 2,393 DVDs featuring 11,453 scenes in 3,948 hours of content. They've got all the major stars and studios and lots of the newest released DVDs.
Three new DVDs are added to the site every single day. All their updates are posted on the main page for visitors and members to see right away. It's easy to see that they're very consistent with this great update schedule.
They've got some great tools that make getting around the large site no problem. Browse by category for both DVDs and scenes. Check out the model index, new releases, and top scenes. The advanced search lets you select multiple categories to find just the right movies for you. Everything is cross-linked so if you're enjoying a movie by a particular studio, just click that studio link to view more of their work. It's a smart, easy set-up.
The highest setting for the movies is at 2100k and 720x480 in size. Particularly for the newer videos, these are DVD quality scenes that members are sure to enjoy. The high quality Flash option is also a good choice for some nice-looking movies if you don't want to download.
A good amount of info is provided for all videos and stars, including studio name, star list, categories, user ratings and reviews, descriptions, and the stars get brief biographies.
Good viewing options. Each scene can be streamed in Flash and downloaded in Windows Media with three quality settings, as well as Quicktime. The more recently added scenes also offer files for four portable devices.
This is no big surprise, as all DVD archive sites like this offer non-exclusive content. However, it is worth keeping in mind that nothing here is original. All of the DVDs can be found on other sites and even purchased as actual DVDs.
Going back into the archive I found a couple of problems. First off, I couldn't even watch some of the oldest movies because when I clicked on a video link I'd get a "Page Does Not Exist" error. You'll also find fewer viewing options; you're basically limited to Quicktime and WMV downloads. Quality also drops off. The older scenes get pretty grainy when you enlarge them much. We're talking about videos added five years ago, so that's to be expected, just keep in mind that the older content doesn't look quite as good.
The price is a bit high. You definitely are getting a lot for your $30 a month here and it's cheaper than going out and getting the movies individually, but the price is a bit higher than what other sites are charging. Sites that are at the $30 a month mark may be offering even larger collection and/or high definition videos.
Adult Movie Club offers a solid collection of DVDs. There's a lot to see with more being added constantly. The collection looks good and the site is user-friendly. That said, this is a genre that has exploded over the last few years and there's a lot of competition out there from other DVD archive sites. I'm not seeing anything at Adult Movie Club that is making it stand out from the crowd. There's nothing really wrong here, but there's nothing that awesome either. It's as good as the rest so it's worth a try if you're after a big collection of porn movies with just one membership.
