This site takes you back to the 1990's era of porn, showing a variety of classic porn movies from that time.
With 1990's Porn we're heading back to the decade of grunge, Seinfeld, and Bill Clinton. Clinton seems like the type of dude who has probably seen a few of these flicks before. Generally vintage porn sites tend to reach back to either the 70's to 80's period and then retro porn sites have content from earlier decades. With 1990's Porn they're going back a ways but not too far. The site offers up a collection of downloadable full DVD movies from that decade from various studios. On the guest tour there is an 'Archive' link near the bottom right that leads to a page with a listing of the included movies so as a visitor you can get a good overview before signing up.
The 90's was interesting for porn as the early years of the decade still had an 80's style in terms of the production style and look of the pornstars. The last few years have content with a style that is pretty much what we're still seeing today. Also, this is decade that saw porn movie from movies to the internet so that definitely made an impact. What 1990's porn has is a couple hundred full length hardcore movies with action ranging from girl/guy to groupsex to lesbian. They're from different studios that we're all familiar with like Anabolic, Private, VCA among others. Some notable pornstars in the mix are Ashlyn Gere, Chasey Lain, Nikki Dial, and Debi Diamond. Since this is the 90's you'll also find Ron Jeremy and Peter North in the mix.
AVI is the format they go with and they really don't mess around with clips or scene segments as the movies are offered in one big downloadable file. Download speeds were better for me than what I get from most paysites as they saved at around 1MB/sec. My DL manager IDM also worked fine in saving the files.
Some nice information is provided on the movies including box covers, preview screen caps, year, studio, director, performers, and video length/file size.
Most vintage porn sites of any kind are generally lacking in video quality. Here the AVI files have specs that hover around 1300k 640x480 and they do vary from movie to movie. As is to be expected the older titles from the earlier part of the decade look less polished then the more recent ones. With just the full-movie files you're looking at files that range from 500MB to up to 2GB so they are quite large.
These guys took the time to list things like studios and pornstars but they aren't hyperlinked to find related movies. Browsing is limited to an alphabetical listing by title plus they have 10 pornstars in a mini-index. There are niche categories but only four with anal, big boobs, gangbang, and lesbian. No browse-by-year or studio features are available. Occasionally after clicking on a link I found myself back on the guest tour side of things which was annoying.
No update information is provided so it's impossible to know when or if they are actively updating.
This is a mixed bag of non-exclusive content and the titles can be hit-and-miss.
The concept and execution of 1990's Porn is quite simple with downloadable movies from that decade. While it's nothing fancy one items that stands out to me is that they tend to focus on the earlier part of the decade which does make the collection feel more vintage. The full-movie files are a good option however I think additional choices would have really helped like scene segments. With a total lack of update information it's impossible to know if these guys are updating at all so who knows if they collection will be growing or just staying as-is.
